We opened plastic molds of the connectors, sockets, plugs and
receptacles. 20AWG pure copper quality wires are employed to
manufacture these cables. We can always make the cables with
excellent connectivity and durability.
The 6-Pin J1708 female connector is with a locking ring. Rotating the locking ring
to the right place after plugging to a 6-Pin J1708 male receptacle assures that the connector won’t come unplugged
accidentally.
The ends of 9-Pin J1939 male and 6-Pin J1708 female connectors can
be overmolded or not, according to your needs. If the ends are
overmolded, the cables are more sturdy and durable. If not
overmolded, the price can be lower because the raw material and
labour cost is saved.

The Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 male receptacles are Type 1, so their Pin F are with bigger
diameter. Type 1 or Type 2 J1939 female plugs can be inserted into
Type 1 J1939 male receptacles.

Generally speaking, the pin assignment or pin out will be like this

The pin assignment or pin out can also be customized according to
your needs. If there is no need for more pins to be connected, we suggest we
just connect the necessary pins you need. If more pins are
connected, the price of the cable will be higher because the raw
material and labour cost will be higher.
Application
This cable allows you to connect your round 8 or 9 pin GREEN OR 8
or 9 pin BLACK ELD (Electronic Logging Device) or diagnostic cable
to older 6 pin round diagnostic port in medium and heavy duty
vehicles model years from the early-to-mid-2000s.
The black 9 pin connector will accept BOTH BLACK AND/OR GREEN 8 or
9 pin plug. You can plug in any device or cable with round 8 or 9
pin whether it is black or green.
One end has Deutsch HD16-6-12S-B010 6 pin plug with locking ring -
this plugs on to your factory diagnostic port located in trucks.
The other end has HD10-9-1939P 9 pin BLACK socket - this will work
with ANY BLACK OR GREEN 8 or 9 pin ELDs or diagnostics cables.
