The Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 male plug is Type 1, so its Pin F is with bigger diameter. Type 1 or Type 2 J1939 female connectors can be inserted into Type 1 J1939 male receptacles.

Pin assignment or pin out

In most cases, all 9 pins of the J1939 male and female connectors are connected, so there are 9 wires of 20AWG in the cable.

The pin assignment or pinout can also be customized according to your needs.


Application

This is a cable between a J1939 round Deutsch 9-pin female connector, a J1939 Deutsch 9 pin male connector and an open end.

Some telematics, fleet management devices or trucking technology devices with 9-pin J1939 connector need to be installed in dash. This cable can help extend the device to the dash.

The open end is mostly for testing purposes.
